Up until two years ago.......
Jessica was just an active teenager in her sophomore year of High School. She was a cheerleader for the Hamilton High Pop Warner.

She was a member of her schools drill team as well as a star T-Ballplayer.
She danced for the Dance Shop in downtown Hamilton,

and she loved to go camping at the Poconos whenever she had the
chance.
Jessica just loved to cook and was looking forward to attending
culinary school one day.
Our beautiful Jessicas kindness and goodness is
immeasurable. She is the heart of our family. She is a beloved
daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Her energy and love for life is just infectious.

As you may already know, our Jessica was involved in a terrible

automobile accident on March 23, 2005 which has left her paralyzed from
the chest down. However, in the two years since her accident,Jessica has made
remarkable progress in her recovery.

After spending several weeks in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in
Philadelphia, Jessica was transferred to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital
which is also located in Philadelphia until her release on July 7, 2005.
During her stay at Magee, Jessica endured 8 hours a day, 6 days a week of
intense physical therapy, as well as occupational and recreational
therapy. As a result of this intense therapy, she has gained a great deal
of upper body strength and was able to have a surgery called Tendon Transfer Surgery.
This surgery has given her increased strength in her arms and hands and with
continued therapy, she will be able to use a manual wheelchair instead
of the power chair she now uses. This surgery was made possible by
The Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Jessica returned to Hamilton High West in the fall of 2005 and is
currently on the schools honor roll. She plans to continue her education in
the field of Psychology.
We are currently accepting donations
for a standing glider for Jessica. Even with intense therapy and medications,
Jessica battles daily with muscle spasms. Some so strong that it nearly knocks
her out of her wheelchair. We have been told by the doctors that with the
help of this standing glider, it will drastically reduce her spasms and virtually
eliminate the pain that is associated with it.

Our family, friends, neighbors and even
total strangers have come thru in the past and we are hoping that once again
they will help Jessica. If you would like more information about this machine,

 "JESSICA'S TABS FOR PHILADELPHIA
SHRINERS HOSPITAL DRIVE"
Those pesky little tabs on every beverage can, what to do with them?
Here's the answer, save them and donate them to the Shriners' hospital
for children. Everyday, over $1.6 million is spent to operate the 22
Shriners Hospitals throught North America and here's a way for us to
help that dosen't even cost a dime extra.
Jessica was introduced and sponsored by a Shriner over a year ago. She
has since been receiving treatment and therapy from Shriners cost free.
Shriners helps kids all over the world who have little or no health
insurance. Lets do our part to help them!!!
The tabs are sent to a collection site, weighed and money is earned per pound.
The money is used to help the patients.
So, the next time you take a sip from a can containing the beverage of
your choice, be sure to think of how useful that tab on the top can be
in supporting the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
Tabs can be dropped off at the following locations:

Mercer County Prosecutor's Office hosted "Crime Victims Rights Week"
On Friday, April 20, 2007. Jessica was the keynote speaker. Jessica
spoke of her injuries caused by road rage and her fight to strengthen
penalties for those who are guilty of road rage.
Jessica's father, Scott Rogers speaks out to
public officals urging to introduce a law that would
require serious consequences for those who are guilty of road rage.
This law will be called "Jessica's Law"

Jessica's Law Gains Approval
On June 14,2007, The Assembly Judicaiary Committee unanimously voted for
"Jessica's Law" which,if passed by the Legislature, would upgrade assault by
auto causing serious bodily harm to a third-degree crime which could result
in a 5-year prison term for the driver. The Law, which was co-sponsored by
Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein and Assemblyman Bill Baroni also provides a 15
to 30 day loss of license and counseling for road rage for 1st offense along
stiffer fines and increased license suspension and fines for subsequent
incidents which happen within two years. Please continue to check this website
for any updates on Jessica's Law.
